The Cuffley Service Crew – offering Scout Active Support
Elm Court fundraising | Scout Active Support | Crew dinner |
The flexible nature of Scout Active Support lends itself to people who want to be involved in Scouting and benefit from opportunities for flexible volunteering. Scout Active Support can take up as much or as little time as the volunteer wishes. Each Scout Active Support member is responsible to the Scout Active Support Manager for carrying out the work of the Scout Active Support Unit.
The Cuffley Service Crew is the informal name of the First Cuffley Scout Active Support Unit. The unit is our group of adults who commit personal time to deliver Scouting in Cuffley. This is often in addition to Scouting and other community commitments they fulfil elsewhere too!
The Crew members help either as warranted leaders, Network Scouts, occasional helpers, stand-alone support members or a combination of these. They are important to the Group because they afford the Group Scout Leader, the Group Executive and the section leaders support from a wide and diverse skill base. Currently Seven Crew members hold the Queen’s Scout Award, the pinnacle of Scouting achievement.
