Maintenance Day (Group)

Parents, Supporters and Friends
We’re planning a Group HQ Maintenance Day for Saturday 16 March 2024
Our day will commence at 10am and we’ll seek to finish work by 4pm, followed by a review session at the Plough.
We will focus on:

Repairing, cleaning and decorating the Annexe building used by our Explorers;

Servicing, cleaning and re-pitching our marquees;
- Clearance and disposal = of rubbish from the grounds;

Painting the outside walls of the HQ and other out buildings;

Further leaf clearing, bush cutting, and other springtime cleaning and tidy-up work;
- Grass cutting

Window cleaning;

Tidying and cleaning the HQ, loft, garage, gas store and other areas;

Updating and refining our equipment database;

Sprucing up our campfire area and maintaining our fences;
Please indicate the assistance you can afford us by speaking with one of our section leaders or texting 07784 861218 with your offer to help for either for the whole day (with a stop for a ‘chip shop’ lunch) or for part of it, with an advice for when we may expect you.

For practical and safety reasons, may we request that children under 11 years do not attend unless accompanied by an adult who is able to take full responsibility for them *. Those over 11 are welcome to join us if they are willing to work!
