Maintenance and Tree Planting Day

Tree planting & other tasks
We’re planning a Group HQ Maintenance Day for Saturday 3 December 2022.
Our day will commence at 10am and we’ll seek to finish work by 4pm, followed by a review session at the Plough.
We will focus on:
- Planting 135 shrubs and trees donated by The Woodland Trust

Repairing, cleaning and decorating the Annexe building used by our Explorers;

Further leaf clearing, bush cutting, and autumn/winter tidy-up work

Tidying and cleaning the HQ, loft, garage and other areas

Sprucing up our campfire area and maintaining our fences.
Please indicate the assistance you can afford us by speaking with one of our section leaders or texting 07784 861218 with your offer to help for either for the whole day (with a stop for a ‘chip shop’ lunch) or for part of it, with an advice for when we may expect you.
PS: If you have access to a workplace charity funding scheme that rewards voluntary work please see if we can get your time with us sponsored too.
For practical and safety reasons, may we request that children under 10 years do not attend*. Those over 10 are welcome to join us if they are willing to work!
*Exceptions may be considered and agreed in advance.
