About Us: Join our dedicated team at 1st Cuffley Scout Group, where we are committed to preserving the rich history and records of our scouting community. We are looking for an enthusiastic and meticulous Archivist and Record Keeper to help us maintain and organise our archives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Archive Management: Organise, catalogue, and maintain historical records, documents, and artefacts related to our Scout Group.
  • Record Keeping: Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all scouting activities, membership, and events.
  • Digital Archiving: Digitise records and manage electronic archives.
  • Research Assistance: Provide support for research inquiries and assist members in accessing archival materials.
  • Preservation: Implement preservation techniques to protect and conserve historical materials.
  • Event Support: Assist in organising and documenting special events and anniversaries.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in archiving, record keeping, or a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in digital archiving tools.
  • Attributes: Passion for history and scouting, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
