Job Title: Risk Manager

About Us: Join our dynamic and dedicated team at 1st Cuffley Scout Group, where we are committed to providing a safe and enriching environment for young people to develop skills, make friends, and have fun. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Risk Manager to ensure the safety and compliance of our activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain risk management policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular risk assessments for all scouting activities and events.
• Provide training and support to volunteers and staff on risk management practices.
• Monitor compliance with The Scout Association’s guidelines and legal requirements.
• Liaise with external bodies and stakeholders to ensure best practices in risk management.
• Prepare and present risk reports to the management team and trustees.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications:

• Experience in risk management, preferably within a youth or volunteer organisation.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant qualifications in risk management or a related field are desirable but not essential.
