Cuffley Scout Group
At the First Cuffley Scout Group we offer active and innovative Scouting to girls and boys from age 6 to 18 as members of the UK Scout Association. At our meetings we follow an established programme for our section members that encourages them to do their best, have fun, make friends, learn new skills, push boundaries and achieve things they may never have dreamed of. This supports the association’s Skills for Life strategy which aims to bring communities together and contribute towards a better society.
All our young members have the opportunity to gain Activity Badges in a range of interests and a variety of Challenge Awards. They also learn valuable life skills such as leadership and outdoor survival which as they become older they often quote on their CVs when seeking employment or a university place.
Set in the heart of Cuffley village.
Our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers meet at our HQ buildings. These are set in an acre of wooded land located at the end of Church Close, Cuffley, Hertfordshire, EN6 4LS.
Leadership
Our dedicated and experienced team of volunteer leaders work together to support each section and Cuffley Scout Group as a whole. All our adult leaders have current Scout Association Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance and are basic or advanced First Aiders.

Our sections
We are more than just a youth club. To young people we offer:
Beaver Scouts (Beavers)
Age 6 years* – 8 years *Beaver membership may commence at 5 years 9 months
Our Beaver Colony meets on Wednesday evenings from 18.30 to 19.30 in our main HQ building.
Cub Scouts (Cubs)
Age 8 years – 10.5 years
Our Cub Pack meets on Tuesday evenings from 18.30 to 20.00 in our main HQ building.
Scouts
Age 10.5 years – 14 years
Our Scout Troop meets on Friday evenings from 19.30 to 21.30 in our main HQ building.
Explorer Scouts (Explorers)
Age 14 years – 18 years
Our Explorer Unit meets on Friday evenings from 20.00 to 22.00 in the annexe hall located next to our main HQ.

We are part of Potters Bar and District Scouts who report through to the Hertfordshire Scouts’ County .
We appreciate the support of Northaw and Cuffley our local Parish Council.

We have both a public profile and a Facebook Group which is set up to keep our Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Service Crew, Leaders and many supporters updated with what is happening across our Scout Group. Membership is moderated and agreed in accordance with Facebook age rules.
